Skeletron

Skeletron guards the Dungeon entrance. Talk to the Old Man (standing by the Dungeon door) at night and choose “Curse” to begin. Alternatively, in Hardmode you can throw a Clothier Voodoo Doll into lava to summon him anytime.

Strategy

• Kill the two hands first — they deal the spinning curse damage; once gone, only the head attacks.
• Use a long arena and Hermes Boots / Cloud in a Bottle to outrun the head's spin.
• Musket or a yoyo like yoyos works; melee should use a broadsword with good reach.
• If dawn breaks with the head alive, he becomes invincible and one-shots you — so focus the head after the hands.

Reward

• Unlocks safe entry to the Dungeon (the Clothier NPC then moves in).
• Drops the Book of Skulls and the Skeletron Mask / Handgun.
• The Dungeon is your main source of Bone and early Hardmode loot like the ....
