Eater of Worlds

In a Corruption world the Eater of Worlds replaces the Brain of Cthulhu. Break 3 Shadow Orbs (each gives a gift and a 50% chance to summon it) or use Worm Food, crafted from 30 Rotten Chunks and 15 Deathweed at a Demon Altar.

Strategy

• Use a piercing / area weapon: Vilethorn, Musket, or Jester's Arrows.
• Killing any segment damages the whole worm and splits it, so focus fire on the body.
• Stay mobile on a long arena; the head does the most contact damage.

Drops

• Demonite Ore and Shadow Scales — used for Nightmare Pickaxe and shadow gear.
• A guaranteed Demon Altar drop for decoration/use.
• Chance of the Musket + Musket Balls (one of the Orbs always drops a gun).
